COVID-19 Portrait Studio Procedures
Now booking, but sessions are limited!
I’m open and accepting appointments. But, if you’re not quite ready to venture out yet, no problem! Let me know and we’ll set up a Zoom consultation to discuss your next project or review your marketing material. The consult will make the most of studio time and minimize face-to-face conversation.
Cleaning Procedures
Building — The building is owned and operated by Thomas Duke, a large commercial real estate firm. They’re maintaining the building to CDC and Oakland County guidelines. The HVAC system is using MERV 11 air filters for enhanced air quality.
Suite — After each session, I’ll clean the high-touch surfaces (door knob, desk, vanity area, client chairs). I’ll be wearing a mask during your session.
Arrival Procedures
Self Check — Please make sure you’re feeling well the day of your session. If you don’t feel 100%, please reschedule (at no charge). I will do the same for you. And please come alone (unless your minor child is being photographed).
Bring Your Mask — I’ll be wearing one and ask that you do too until we start the session.
On Arrival — Please arrive no earlier than five minutes before your scheduled appointment time. I can meet you at the main entrance and help you carry any clothing, just text when you arrive.
Wardrobe — If you’re not changing outfits, bring as little into the studio as possible (at most keys, phone, wallet, and small makeup bag). If you are bringing a wardrobe bag, I’ll have a clothing rack ready for you. There’s a full-length mirror in the studio. So you’ll be able to do any last-minute touch-ups, etc.
Session Procedures
Adjustments — Once you’re ready to go, I’ll stay behind the camera as much as possible. I’ll direct you for clothing adjustments and posing from a distance (there’s a lot of posing in a headshot). I’ll verify we have what we need in camera.
Payment — I’ll also verify I have your payment information. If your payment information is saved from your reservation, I’ll be able to run your card for the balance. Then you’re free to go.
Proofs — We’ll do proof review either by email or Zoom. Once your selections are made, I’ll retouch and deliver them via an email link.
Questions? — Check out my FAQ for videos and blog posts to help you prepare. But don’t hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.
With the governor’s extension of the stay at home order, the studio will remain closed through May 15.
